With over 20 years in the financial services industry, I bring a great deal of knowledge and experience to the table for my clients. I graduated from Strayer University with a Bachelors in Accounting Bachelor's and have continued my educational journey to expand my knowledge and experience so that I can better serve and support our clients here at CFG. In addition to becoming a CPA in 2004, I also received my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designation in 2012, my Retirement Income Certified Professional in 2014 and became a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy in 2026. I have also been recognized as a Retirement Planning Specialist from the Wharton School of Business and am a member of the Elite Advisor Group at Equitable Advisors.
After finishing college, I actually spent many years working in the banking industry, first as a senior accountant at Union Bankshares Corporation, and then as Vice President & Corporate Controller at Eastern Virginia Bankshares. However, I eventually decided that I wanted to spend my time focused on helping real people and families with their financial needs and goals, instead of helping corporations. The ability to build meaningful relationships and have a lifelong, positive impact on others is the best part of my job, hands down.
I reside in Richmond County with my wife, Lisa. When I’m not helping my clients or spending time with my family, I’m a big outdoorsman. I especially enjoy hunting and fishing, and am a Hunter Education Instructor for the state of Virginia, as well as a licensed boat captain. I’m a founding member of the King George/Dahlgren Chapter of Rotary International, and I love to cook. While I considered going to culinary school, I certainly don’t regret the choice to become a financial advisor instead—and my cookies are still the stuff of legends!
