Justin D. Kerns
Justin is a Financial Professional with Equitable Advisors and Community Financial Group.
Justin was first, a client of Equitable in 2005 and was so impressed, with the organization, that he then came to work for the company in 2006. Justin’s focus is to help clients create and maintain financial independence through a series of strategies that are oriented around Retirement Panning, Investment Management, and Risk Management.
By truly partnering with his clients, Justin is able to give them rhyme and reason to the financial strategies that they choose to implement. He feels that educating clients as to the “why” is just as, if not more, important as the “what” so that they can make an informed decision when it comes to the products and services they choose.
Justin graduated is 2003 with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. During his time with Equitable, Justin has earned his Series 6, Series 66, & Series 24 designations. He lives at Smith Mountain Lake in Franklin County Virginia & together, with his wife Carrie Kerns, they have 6 children. Carrie currently holds the Series 6, Series 63, as well as Life and Health licenses
Professionally, Justin brings over 15 years of managerial & customer service experiences He has vast experience life insurance products as well as investment solutions like Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds, Annuities, & Fee based Asset Management.
When Justin is not working with Clients, he is actively involved with his Church, his family, kayaking, and enjoys traveling.

Carrie S. Kerns
Carrie is a Financial Professional with Equitable Advisors and Community Financial Group.
Carrie joined Equitable in 2017 after being recruited by her husband (and fellow Financial Professional) Justin Kerns. Together they have 6 children and live at Smith Mountain Lake. Carrie currently holds the Series 6, Series 63, as well as Life and Health licenses. She was recognized as the leading Female DSF agent in the country in 2018.
Professionally, Carrie, brings managerial and ten plus years of commercial insurance experience. Her background in Property and Casualty Insurance brings additional insight into a client’s Risk Management needs. She has vast experience life insurance products as well as investment solutions like Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds and Annuities.
The Roanoke Valley office has greatly benefited from Carrie’s experience with merging books of business, leading support staff, client management systems, and her ability to help implement the vision for how to build the firm for the future.
When Carrie is not working with Clients, she is actively involved with her Church, her family, kayaking, and enjoys traveling.

Weston Meyers
Weston Meyers is a Financial Professional with Equitable Advisors, LLC and Community Financial Group.
While previously working as president of a marketing firm, Wes took immense interest in his personal finances and started to consider retirement planning as a career. He quickly realized financial planning is an area that most need assistance and guidance with, so Wes came to explore a career in the financial industry. As a result, he began to look at several financial service companies, settling on Equitable in 2014. Wes says, “I felt Equitable had the most to offer in the form of training and support, as well as the most to offer clients in products and services.”
Wes holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he was an active member of S.I.F.E. (Students In Free Enterprise), president of the A.M.A. (American Marketing Association), and involved with various intramural sports. Wes currently holds his series 7, 66, and life/health/annuities licenses.
As far as Wes’s personal life, he has lived in many different states as he comes from a military family. He grew up in New Mexico & Georgia, attended high school and college in North Carolina, and ultimately decided to jumpstart his career in the great state of Virginia where he resides with his wife Amanda.
When Wes isn’t assisting clients with investments, insurance and retirement advice, he enjoys spending time outside with his wife as well as participating in outdoor sports with colleagues and friends. He loves to travel and be adventurous, and often visits North Carolina to spend time with his family.

Kori Anne Falcon
Kori Anne Falcon is an Administrative Assistant for the financial professionals at Community Financial Group’s Roanoke Office.
Prior to becoming an Administrative Assistant, she lived in New Jersey and worked extensively in the Human Service field. Kori worked as an Assistant Manager for a non-profit organization, SCARC, where she provided care to disabled adults. Before her employment with SCARC, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bristol Glen Nursing Home. She also worked as a private Home Health Care aide for an elderly gentleman. Kori was introduced to the field working as a Teacher’s Aide and Child Care Worker for emotionally disturbed adolescents at Willowglen Academy.
Kori grew up in Sparta, New Jersey. She graduated from Sparta High School in 2008. She received her Associate of Science in Criminal Justice at Sussex County Community College. She is actively working on her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and Criminal Justice, as well as a certification in Criminalistics.
Kori and her fiancé, Michael Duswalt, moved from their hometown of Sparta, NJ to Roanoke, VA in November 2017. She enjoys traveling, live music, new experiences, and spending time with her family.
