While previously working as president of a marketing firm, Wes took immense interest in his personal finances and started to consider retirement planning as a career. He quickly realized financial planning is an area that most need assistance and guidance with, so Wes came to explore a career in the financial industry.  As a result, he began to look at several financial service companies, settling on AXA in 2014. Wes says, “I felt AXA had the most to offer in the form of training and support, as well as the most to offer clients in products and services.”

Wes holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he was an active member of S.I.F.E. (Students In Free Enterprise), president of the A.M.A. (American Marketing Association), and involved with various intramural sports. Wes currently holds his series 7, 66, and life/health/annuities licenses.

As far as Wes’s personal life, he has lived in many different states as he comes from a military family. He grew up in New Mexico & Georgia, attended high school and college in North Carolina, and ultimately decided to jumpstart his career in the great state of Virginia where he resides with his wife Amanda.

When Wes isn’t assisting clients with investments, insurance and retirement advice, he enjoys spending time outside with his wife as well as participating in outdoor sports with colleagues and friends. He loves to travel and be adventurous, and often visits North Carolina to spend time with his family.
